By the time kids reach Level 4 of Learning to Read – Back to Basics, they've come a long way — and this card deck is designed to lock in all that hard work.

Drill Words gives students a hands-on way to practise the full range of phonics sounds covered at Level 4, from consonant sounds and short vowels right through to the trickier stuff like letter pairs, blends, and the many ways English spells the same sound. Think ei making an ā sound in "vein," ou doing unexpected things in "would" and "double," and all the other quirks that make English such an adventure.
